Course Description

Project risk management is essential for successful projects. This 30-hour course will cover the complete skills needed to successfully manage project risks. This course will start with an introduction into risk management including the definition of risk, types of project risks, stakeholder risk tolerance, and risk management processes. Techniques for identifying risks will be reviewed including check lists, brainstorming, Delphi, decision tables and various diagramming.

This course includes reading assignments and practice exercises between sessions, along with practice exams to prepare attendees for the PMI-RMP exam. This extensive course will provide the requisite expertise for managing risks, along with providing the risk education needed to qualify for the PMI-RMP®, plus preparing attendees for the PMI-RMP® exam.

Prerequisites

• Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree, or the global equivalent)

• 4,500 hours of project risk management experience

• 40 hours of project risk management education

OR

• Four-year degree (bachelor’s degree or the global equivalent)

• 3,000 hours of project risk management experience

• 30 hours of project risk management education
